This 3.5 starter rope is for smaller hand held equipment such as chainsaws, trimmers and blowers

Standard sizes are 3-5 feet for a normal recoil starter for small hand held equipment.  If you want to buy starter rope for a chainsaw, purchase 4 = 4 feet. This will give you enough rope to tie your handle knot

Please note that lawn mowers and pressure washers, Honda engines, etc will take a different size starter rope.
